2012-Carolina Fiber Festival
Off the Hook Crochet Guild was one of many groups to volunteer at the 2012 Carolina Fiber Festival. Members demonstrated crocheting, displayed projects, gave brief tutorials to festival attendees, and provided a beginning crochet lesson through a "Make & Take" activity.

2011-Yarn Bombing
In March 2011 the Guild yarn bombed Major the Bull in downtown Durham as part of National Crochet Month.
Major's resplendent attire was made of crocheted panels stitched by guild members. He was festooned with a daisy flower scarf and carnation cuffs and adorned with a granny square headband.
